My holiday at Caloundra (2017)

My adventure to Caloundra along with Irene and Angela started at precisely 8:20am on Monday the 8th of May.On the way there we stopped off at Caboolture for Angela and Irene to grab something to eat and a coffee as well as visiting the restrooms which was a very funny experience due to Angela tying toilet paper around my head to create a hair bow.

After leaving Caboolture, which by that time it was raining heavier then when we arrived. Because Irene and Angela were having such a good time talking, we  accidentally missed the turn off to Caloundra, so it then took us slightly then we expected to arrive at our accommodation. Our original plans were to go to Australia zoo, but that was changed due to weather. So instead we made a beeline for our hotel, at the point in time of our arrival at the hotel our room wasn't ready, so we decided to go to a local shopping centre, and there my "shopping spree" began.

I brought two egg cups; one being a leopard which I kept for myself and the other being an owl that I purchased for Tegan, which she now has in her possession. I also got my hands on season 19 of Pokemon, which I'd been waiting patiently for, for quite some time.Which I've only watched 1 out of 6 possible discs but do plan to finish watching the rest of the discs at some point in the future. We sat down at a little cafe and I ended up having a steak sandwich for lunch, which was delicious I might add. The cafe's name is Huss' Grill Cafe for anyone who plans on going to Caloundra and would like something delicious. After we'd finished there, We went to Coles to grab a few essentials for our stay before heading back to the hotel.

Once we were at the hotel, upon entering our room the first thing we saw was a flight of stairs, which funnily enough led to a big spa. After getting settled it was my favorite time again, the time to choose my roommate/bed buddy. So as per usual Irene was happy with whatever way it went so with that being said, Angela, yet again happily became my roommate. Also on the same day we attempted to get me out on to the verandah/balcony that extended off the room of which was successful but I ended up taking the glass door off it's track.

On the Tuesday we spent the whole day, from 9:30am to 5pm at Australia zoo, so we could get through as much as possible. As we were walking along, a zookeeper was standing to the side of  where we were walking and had an Eagle perched on her arm, which was followed by Aldabran Tortoises. We then saw a monument dedicated to Steve Irwin following that we then saw the Freshwater Crocodiles, Tasmanian Devils, Cassowaries, Koalas, Dingoes, Binturongs and Snakes. We then went and watched a show at the Crocoseum whilst we were watching the show a female zookeeper was carrying around yet another species of Python that I got to pat. Following the show we proceeded to go to the Sumatran Tiger enclosure.Of which I might add before reaching the enclosure Irene had her photo taken with a Snake. After finishing up at the Tigers, Irene and I proceeded to go and find the Cheetah enclosure. Once our time at the Cheetah enclosure had finished we then proceeded to go to a part of the zoo, of which was named Africa, where Irene and I saw Giraffes and a Rhino. After meeting back up with Angela, we made our way back to the apartment.

The following day we started off at Australia zoo, because it was time for me to have my animal encounters. My first animal encounter was with the Lemurs of which they were absolutely beautiful to interact with, after the Lemurs we proceeded by going to the Rhino, of which I will add throughout these encounters and the remainder of the day it was raining. After the encounters had come to a close, we went back to the food court where Angela, Irene and I had coffees and a hot chocolate, while we were waiting for the encounter photos to be developed. After receiving the encounter photos, along with purchasing additional photos, of Cheetahs, that I wanted to buy we proceeded to leave Australia Zoo for the last time, in this holiday. Once we had left Australia Zoo, we proceeded to go and look around Mooloolaba for the remainder of the day. During our time there we ended up having fish and chips as a later lunch/early dinner.

The Thursday was filled entirely of sightseeing, which took us through the entire Sunshine Coast, including several beaches, Noosa, Noosaville, Alexandra Headland, Mooloolaba, all the way to Gympie. After finishing at Gympie we proceeded to go back to the apartment.

On the Friday, we checked out to come home.
On the way back home we came past a car with a dog in the back of it, that funnily enough, thought it was a good idea to bark at the sticker of a cat on my car. Once we returned home, Angela and Irene received their presents from me, before proceeding to head home.
