Katy Perry Wednesday the 8th of August 2018

Our Katy Perry travel adventure started at precisely 3pm on Wednesday the 8th of August, 2018. Upon leaving home, Tegan and I ventured up to the motel we were staying at, which was the Aspley Carsel Motor Inn, located on Gympie Road in Carseldine.

Our reason for picking this motel came down to the fact that it was the first option to come up on google offering a disabled accessible room, and it was only 13 minutes from the Brisbane Entertainment Centre!

We arrived at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre (BCE) at approximately 6pm, after having checked in at the motel and stopping at Red Rooster for some dinner. However, it took us a little longer than it should have to get to the correct car park, because Tegan kept going the wrong way.

After arriving inside, and having paid for our parking, we were allowed to take our seats at 6:45pm, getting us ready for the 7:30pm start, but it didn't start at 7:30pm, it was 8pm by the time the opening act graced us with his presence, the opening act was ZEDD. Whilst waiting for the opening act to start, the BCE had a heap of different 80's music playing, so I decided to try and guess who the artists were, often ending up completely wrong, as I don't have too much experience listening to older music, where as Tegan spends most of her time listening to music and grew up listening to a lot of it.

When ZEDD finally made his way on to the stage, Tegan and I were waiting to hear a few songs, mine being 'Clarity' and Tegan's being both 'Clarity' and 'Stay the Night'.

We then had a brief intermission once ZEDD had finished, which gave me enough time to sneak out and purchase myself a Katy Perry Tour Program.

To our surprise, she was running a little behind time, but not as far as we were expecting it to be. When she came on stage she was lowered to the ground in what was a silver triangle that had stairs coming out of it and a red outfit, and of course, with it being her 'Witness' tour, her opening song was 'Witness'. And then she performed a mix of songs from 'Witness' and her previous albums.
After she had finished gracing us with her presence, Tegan and I left the Entertainment Centre, at around 11:!5pm, to head back to the motel where we were staying.

Once back at the motel, we were in bed by 11:50pm, as to what time I actually fell asleep, I am unsure.

The next morning, although we were both hoping for a bit of a sleep in, we ended up waking up at around 6:45am. After that, the rest of our day was pretty normal as after leaving the motel, we grabbed some breakfast from Zarraffa's, before heading across Brisbane to my physio session.
Once my physio was session was over, we made our way back home, and that ended our Katy Perry Travel Adventure.

Here are some pictures from inside the motel which I will say now are mainly pictures of the disabled accessible bathroom.

Thanks
Stephanie:)
