My Birthday 27 on the 27/9/20

On this night, it was my 27th birthday. I'm actually recalling an event that took place almost two years ago. So one of my best friends named Sophie, came here at around 5:30pm, and we made our way to Pacific Fair to go to the steak house with a few of my other friends. Jo, Julia, Sophie, myself, Dr Sarah Molloy and vet nurse Holli Grumley. We proceeded by having dinner and, of course, dessert, but this was actually my second cake for the day by the time we reached dessert. So, needless to say, I was pretty full. Following this, we played a veterinary find a word of which Julia ended up winning. What did she win, you ask? Well, she won a box of Maltesers, which, funnily enough, she gave away to one of the younger kids who were with Jo's other family members at this time. She was delighted to be eating chocolate that she did not have to buy! And with that, my night started to draw to a close as I wrapped up most goodbyes except three. Which three, you ask? Well, they were Dr Sarah, Holli and Sophie. As we were leaving the restaurant, I gracefully paid for Dr Sarah's and Holli's meals, in addition to, I think, paying for Sophie's. Then we proceeded to head to the car to come back home to Tweed Heads. And I parted ways with Dr Sarah and Holli in the car park at Pac Fair.

I finally got to Sydney! (Details of my trip)

Hello everybody! I am so happy to be FINALLY writing this post. I have been waiting four long years to make this trip to Sydney, and I finally did it! On Friday the 6th of September 2019, myself and two of my carers (Karen and Julia), started our journey to Newcastle (Stop one of my holiday) at 6am in the morning. We stopped a brief rest in Coffs Harbour, approximately four hours from home, and then continued on our way to Newcastle. We arrived in Newcastle somewhere between 2:30pm and 3:00pm (i'm not entirely sure what the actual time was). We checked in at the Ibis Newcastle, and made our way to our room. Once opening the door we realised that there was only one room for all three of us to sleep in. We then checked out the disabled amenities, which was hilariously bigger than the room we would be sleeping in. Which isn't a bad thing, just something funny to note. Preparation for my 2019 Sydney trip

The idea of travelling to Sydney on holiday first came up as an idea, back in 2015 while I was on holiday in Toowoomba with Angela and Tegan. We began looking at the costs that would be associated with two different options. Option one was to fly to Sydney and then hire a disabled accessible car. Option two was to drive to Sydney. (Which, in the end was the better option). However, many things had changed in the time between inital discussion and actually getting everything organised.  I then had to make the decision of who would accompany me to Sydney. (The staff that were originally going to be coming with me, unfortunately no longer work with me). Originally I believed it would be Julia and Angela, but Angela was not able to accompany me, due to having been travelling around the world for a few months!
