 So!!!  The Rainbow Wheels journey began a whopping six years ago when I met a lady named Jennifer Althaus. I had done some writing already at that time, but it wasn't for the appropriate age group. So, unfortunately, it could not be used for the book Rainbow Wheels. We had to come up with an original story and then, eventually, get it illustrated. During the first illustration process, I had the misfortune of having the illustrator run off on me. Then, I was tasked with finding another illustrator. Even though my new one was more pricey, she was great! This was a steep learning curve for me, as I had to learn how to handle currency exchange (AUD - USD), but it was certainly worth the time, money and effort. The illustrations did eventually come out exceptionally well!! :D Would I use this illustrator again? Yes, I will if I have a bit more money under my belt. I'm hoping to use her for a sequel to the first Rainbow Wheels. However, nothing is confirmed yet, as I still have to...

 This screenwriting adventure started in late March 2025. I was actually employed to some extent by Blue Roo to assist them with the screenwriting process. And to my surprise, it wasn't what I had originally thought it would be.  So, I was originally thinking I was going to help write the script, but in fact, I was helping edit it. So the screenwriting mentorship consisted of three Zoom meetings, during which I met with Dale and Sarah Jackson over several months. I would typically receive emails from either Dale or Sarah in reference to the screenwriting of things on a Sunday night; I would then do the actual editing of the documents on the following Tuesday and Wednesday nights, if possible, because my left-hand writing support worker, Alice, was kindly helping me review the document before we did the edits.  For this production, I'm a part of the audience, but I still expect great things from the cast and crew, and I can't wait to get my hands on a Program for Blue Roo's Fatal Orbit. To my surprise, Fatal Orbit ended up being very comedic, and the ensemble was plunged into space. The pay started out ok, and the ensemble carried the script very well. But my standout things for this performance weren't the performers. It was actually the music and the costumes that caught my eye the most. I do not usually say that the music or the costumes catch my eye, but this time I was pleasantly surprised. And as always, the cast was as follows:  Anthony Byrnes. Bridgid Coote. Cameron East.  Our Brisbane Story!! Well!! Wasn't it a worry?? :D In a good way, I mean. This production happened in late November 2025, and it pushed me to limits I didn't think were possible. We started preparing in July and August of 2025. And as mentioned before, we did not finish until late November 2025. For this one, we had quite a big cast. I found that there weren't enough roles to go around, even though we were mostly playing ourselves. And this is a fickle thing because I was also part of the scriptwriting team for this production (which I will go into more detail about in another blog).  During rehearsals leading up to the main performance, they tend to go more slowly than in the actual performance. That's because there are lots of things you have to wring out when trying to get everyone to remember their lines, which I will admit I am not the best at when it comes to stage production.  I had to be behind a car for part of the play, which was fine overall, but I had to be...

Yes, life is worth living when you have a disability for multiple reasons  Firstly, we are all unique in different ways. But people with disabilities usually don't get as many opportunities to excel as an able-bodied person would. For example, some of us haven't even experienced proper relationships, which, at the age of 32, you could say is a little bit behind the eight ball. But for me, this will change somewhere in the future. I am not sure exactly where or when but, I have just hooked up with another sexologist by the name of Casey, and, she is teaching me about relationships. And that I am very open to discussing any subject. The subjects we discuss can be very personal.  However, not all experiences that disabled people have are like this. We often have to wait for our opportunities to come to us rather than seeking them out. My advice to you is to try something different. And if you don't like it, you don't have to go back!  Hiya to my Readers, Today we found ourselves with the same people mentioned in the previous blog, but by this time, in accordance with the blog's title, it's now 7:30pm! To my surprise, Brisbane Entertainment Centre had an MLAK toilet. To your average person, these toilets may not seem like much, but to a disabled person, they are the Rolls-Royce of toilets. In any case, that was not the main event of the evening.  We arrived at Ricky Martin's concert at around 6pm. But before that, we actually went to Motto, a Japanese Restaurant in Westfield Chermside Shopping Centre. I had some gyozas, and I know this is very silly of me, but I cannot remember what my carers had eaten. Skipping back to Ricky Martin, I do not know who his support act was because it wasn't the one on the ticket.  Hello again, readers! This adventure finds us on one mammoth day out of the house. Firstly, Wiesia and I left the house around 8 o'clock to pick up Sofia by 8:30am. And we made our way to Brisbane for the first, but not the last, performance of the day.  So, first, we found ourselves at the Redland Performing Arts Centre, where I was elated to learn we could get tickets to The Lost Balloon. It was a masked theatre performance, meaning there were no spoken words. Everything was done through movement, and it was very uplifting to watch. Another reason I went to see The Lost Balloon was that our Blue Roo director, Clint Bolster, was performing in it, and I wanted to support him in some small way. I was actually amazed that I could still get tickets, considering how late in the game I purchased them.  It has been a while my readers!  In this blog you will find artistic flare but beware it didn't come cheap. Our adventure started at 4:30pm when Alice turned up in her version of the big red car. Shortly after Alice's swift arrival, we got bucled in to the Volkswagen and off we went with Julia along for the ride as well. Upon our arrival to our destination of Brisbane Entertainment Centre, the first thing I did was buy a program.  After snatching up a program, we were ushered to our seats where we were to watch feet for the next hour and a half with a 20min interval. But in hindsight, it was a very special show because it was choregraphed by Micheal Flatley. I initially thought he would be in the show but alas he didn't make a surprise physical appearance.  He was however, featured in a video that was partway through the performance.  Our Sydney Adventure started on June 20, 2025, and finished on June 24, 2025. Over these four days, I was fortunate enough to spend time at SupaNova in Sydney. I was lucky enough to be graced with the presence of Travis Willingham, which, believe me, I was very grateful for. This experience had been a long time coming, as I had been waiting a mammoth 15 years to meet Travis.  Aside from meeting Travis at SupeNova, I didn't purchase many items. I only bought myself a red Minnie Mouse, which these days is tough to come by. Other than this, at SupaNova itself, I also bought food. I was lucky enough to spend my holiday with the lovely Sofia Martinez and the mighty Julia Marr. Now, of course, we have been friends as well as co-workers, and sometimes when I go on holiday, it's a very fine line to balance on. However, 80% of this interaction is positive, and 20% of the time, it usually involves teasing, making jokes, or doing something to someone. But, at the end of the day, Sofia...

 Laughing Out Loud was a bit of a different experience for me because there were no script involved.  So basically, the show was made up of different acts involving a lot of improvisations. Overall, the show went for about an hour in length but getting to that polished hour of improvisations was a task to behold. It was a challenging because to me, the cast was a geat group of individuals - which I will give a shout out to later- but it seems to me that we had different levels of improvisation experience. So for some of the cast, it took a longer amount of time to perfect a scene - which is not always a bad thing, especially when it comes to improvisations, as they are meant to be as spontaneous as possible. Well, well, well! We find ourselves here again. Unbeknownst to most people, it's been three years since I wrote a blog on your actual birthday. Actually, this one is two days late, but 😺 I am so jealous of John's holiday with you in New Zealand. It's a holiday that I have always dreamed of. I hope you enjoyed your day in Wanaka.  Screenwriting for film was a 10 week course which I did through AFTRS. It was taught by Jonathan Ogilvie. This one was a more intensive course than the Intro to Screenwriting and it went from the 15th of April to Sunday the 23rd of June 2024. So as you can see, the first half of my year has been  spent constructuvely spent on building my screenwriting career. These courses have not been easy to do nor they havent been good for my bank account either but I wouldn't change a thing and I mat have thrown myself into another screenwriting course by Jonathan in 2025.

 Quest South Brisbane is where I stayed for the duration of the production at QMC, which allowed me to stay up in Brisbane for the two performances of Midnight at the Cementery.  My holiday originally started on Wednesday, when we picked up one of my carers whose name is Sofia from Oxenford, then continuing through to Brisbane, where I aslo met up with a friend by the name of Adrian. We had lunch together at the Riverside cafe in Southbank. After this we got to check in at Quest, where we stayed for five days. My carers did change for once during these days, having Julia for the three first days and Wiesia the last two days, but Sofia for the whole five days. Throughout this time we had numerous rehesals for the Thursday to the Saturday, and then the final performance of the Midnight at the Cementery was on the 16th of November.  I had fun during my time at Quest although I was exhausted on the Friday night, so all I did after the performance was  basically go to bed...

Midnight at the cementery was a 18 week voluntary acting program that I was part of for the end of this year. I started with Blue Roo back in August of this year, and to be honest, I wasn't sure if I would continue, but, they surprised me at the end of term party and they offered a mentorship for the second half of next year, which I'm very excirted for!  I will continue with the acting program for next year, but in light of being offered the mentorship I am uncertain at this stage how it will affect things. So, for I've been told so far, the mentorship will go from 12 week but it's only two hours long each week. As for the rest I'll have to keep you updated. The producton of Midnight at the Cementery went off without a hitch. By the end of the program we were visiting the Queensland Multicultural Centre.  Angela and I had a verbal fight, but now our future is back to being bright. You may ask what we fought over; the answer is our friendship. I've recently worked on the sequel to the Angela and Murray story, 'What Happened to Katheryn. This story currently has 510 words, without little birds. Recently as of the 24th of January 2023, I had the privilege of being accompanied by Angela and Anika to my psychology. You might wonder what is wrong with me? I have some things going on now, although I prefer not to always show it. When I got the privilege of having Angela accompany me to Psychology, my heart was filled with glee! There are a few reasons this could be; one is that she was previously able to keep my mental health afloat, just like I was in a boat. Why does this fill me with glee?
